Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the physical and mechanical properties of bedding sheep manure as a promising organic fertilizer. The relevance of the research is обусловлена the need to improve the efficiency of using livestock waste and to optimize agrotechnical processes in agriculture. Particular attention is paid to moisture content, which significantly affects the nutritional value, storage conditions, transportation, and efficiency of manure application to the soil. The study aims to determine the moisture content of bedding sheep manure and to analyze its variation depending on seasonal conditions. To achieve this goal, manure samples were collected at different time periods and subjected to laboratory testing. The research methods are based on a standard procedure of drying samples to constant mass at a temperature of (105±2) °C, followed by the calculation of moisture content using an established formula. The experiments were carried out under laboratory conditions using a drying oven and analytical balances. In total, three series of samples collected in January, February, and March were analyzed. The main results showed that the moisture content of manure varied from 62.37 % in January to 55.65 % in March. A steady decrease in moisture content during the winter spring period was observed, which can be explained by changes in temperature and improved air circulation. In addition, a uniform distribution of moisture within the manure mass was identified. In conclusion, moisture control is an important factor in increasing the efficiency of sheep manure utilization. The obtained results can be used to optimize the storage, transportation, and application of organic fertilizers in agriculture.
