THE ROLE OF PROBIOTICS IN ENSURING THE BIOSECURITY AND PRODUCTIVITY OF AGRICULTURAL ANIMALS

Abstract

  This article discusses the prospects of using probiotic preparations in animal husbandry in the Republic of Kazakhstan, where the industry is actively developing. Considering the high sensitivity of productive animals to stress and infectious diseases, the emphasis is placed on the need to replace antibiotics with probiotics. Probiotics stimulate the growth and development of young animals, enhance immunity, and reduce the risk of infections, contributing to improved product quality and economic efficiency. The mechanisms of action of probiotics at the molecular level, their antagonistic activity against pathogens, as well as their impact on the intestinal microflora and immune response are described. Experimental research results using the "Lactobacterin-TK2" preparation demonstrate its effectiveness in increasing the weight gain of calves and reducing morbidity. The study highlights the importance of using ecologically clean and safe probiotic supplements to ensure the health of animals and improve product quality.
